Paxton Russell, DVM

Dr. Paxton is originally from Aurora, Colorado, and recently returned home to Colorado after earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Growing up with a mother who was a nurse, Dr. Paxton developed an appreciation for compassionate medicine early in life, and her lifelong love of animals made veterinary medicine a natural fit. She is especially excited to now serve the community in her home state.

Dr. Paxton especially enjoys the special relationships that come along with veterinary medicine and loves getting to build lifelong bonds with clients and their pets. She values being part of a team that prioritizes both quality medicine and genuine connection with the families they serve.

Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery (spays, neuters, and mass removals), as well as internal medicine cases and general wellness care.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Paxton enjoys trying new cooking and baking recipes, fishing, and spending time outdoors with her two labs and miniature dachshund.

She is excited to be part of the Fort Collins community and looks forward to caring for pets and building lasting relationships with the families who trust her with their care.
